About me
Hello! Welcome to a new school year! I am very excited to start the new year. Let me start off by telling you about myself. My name is Meghann Disch and I am not originally from Franklin. I am from outside of Cinninnati. I attended Marian and Franklin College. While there I played basketball and soccer. Since graduation I have been working for Franklin schools.
Social Studies
In social studies we will be starting unit 1 which is geography. Students will be expected to learn the following:
- Continents and oceans
- Hemispheres
- Latitiude and longitude
- climate
- Landforms
- Types of maps
- Biomes
- natural resources
These skills will help students understand content in the future. This unit is the foundation for the rest of the year.
Science
In science we will be starting with unit 1 process skills. As I stated above this unit is the foundation for the rest of the year in science. Students will be expected to learn and master each skill. These skills can be used in every classroom and will useful throughout life. The skills are as follows:
